Junior attacker Lauren Jablonowski (Levittown, N.Y.) led all scorers with six points including a hat-trick and three assists for the Mariners in the victory. Rookie Leslie Wysong (Mt. Pleasant, S.C.) added three goals and two points along with three ground balls for USMMA with senior attacker Kaitlyn Latchaw (Phoenix, Md.) posting a two-goal game with an assist.

First-year Grace Picozzi (Collegeville, Pa.) also scored two goals with an assist and led the Mariners with six draw controls and four caused turnovers in the win. Senior attacker Reagan Jetter (La Jolla, Calif.) had two goals to go along with four ground balls and two draw control wins while junior Gianna Russo (Wake Forest, N.C.) and sophom*ore Emma Barnes (Chillicothe, Ohio) each collecting a goal for KP.

On defense, senior Nicole Stafanick (Livonia, Mich.) had two caused turnovers and classmate Caroline Collins (Sayville, N.Y.) added two ground ball pickups while sophom*ore goalie Karianna Eagle (Little Egg Harbor Township, N.J.) picked up the win with eight saves in cage and six ground balls.

The two sides played an even first quarter with Manhattanville striking first on a goal by MacNeil with three minutes played in the frame. Picozzi and Jablonowski went back-to-back for the Mariners to take a 2-1 lead before the Valiants answered with a pair of goals to reclaim the advantage. Stahl's marker with just under seven minutes remaining in the period put the hosts ahead 3-2 but Russo scored the tying goal just thirty seconds later and Barnes's tally gave USMMA the 4-3 lead at the end of the period.

Following a goal by Gianna Mott to tie the game at 4-all in the opening minute of the second quarter, the Mariners ended the period with four unanswered tallies to lead by an 8-4 margin at halftime. Jablonowski scored the go-ahead goal with eleven minutes left in the frame, and goals by Latchaw, Picozzi, and Wysong provided the rest of the edge.

Manhattanville scored two consecutive goals in the third quarter to cut the deficit in half, but Jablonowski again stopped the Valiants' rally and started one for the Mariners. Wysong and Latchaw tallied markers to give USMMA the lead for good and Jetter's two goals in the final period provided the end of the scoring on both sides.

Colleen MacNeil led Manhattanville with two goals and two assists, contributing seven draw controls and six ground balls for the Valiants in the loss. Katherin Stahl added two goals and four draw controls while Paz Hassan-Contreras had 16 saves for the hosts.
